Publication Announcement!

Forthcoming in Autumn 2013 from Finishing Line Press, Georgetown, Kentucky:  Blackbirds Dance in the Empire of Love, by Jenne' R. Andrews.

Andrews has three other collections of poetry including Reunion, Lynx House Press.  She holds the MFA in Creative Writing from Colorado State University and is a fellow of the National Endowment for the Arts in Literature and former full-time Poet in Residence for the St. Paul Schools.

From widely published and brilliant poet Jim Moore, Invisible Strings, Graywolf Press 2011 and 2012 fellow of the Guggenheim Foundation:

“The underlying grace note of this book is love: love of all kinds, for the present body and the lost past, for the wandering surprises in a given moment, for the deep certainties and even deeper questions that both stain and illumine a life in poetry.”

From Dawn Potter, director, Conference on Poetry and Teaching, The Frost Place and author of three collections of poetry and the U-Mass press memoir A Year in Paradise with John Milton: “Jenne’ Andrews' poems are saturated with color and with music. But more importantly, they overflow with feeling: a deep, unabashed commitment to the knife edge of joy and heartbreak.”

From Patricia Kirkpatrick, Winner of the 2013 Minnesota Book Award for Odessa, Milkweed Editions 2013:  “The gift of these poems is the charged musical language and the poet’s engagement with the physical world.  Even as she renders it with precision, she intimates a place and time other than here and now.”
